Wardogs wipes out cheaters with bans and server overhaul
Update 0.1.2 hit Wardogs with force. The devs patched the worst cash and XP exploits. Players who abused these tricks lost all progress. Repeat cheaters now risk permanent bans. The old days of looking the other way are over.
In the official Wardogs policy, creating guides or content that instructs players on exploiting the in-game economy is treated as advertising cheats and can result in a permanent ban.
Admins get new tools too. Daily scheduled restarts are now built in. RCON host restrictions are more precise. Message length is limited. Config security is tighter. Several hotfixes boost server stability. Security upgrades target both tech failures and bad actors.
Windows 11 users finally catch a break. The WD-L020 crash, triggered by KB5124010, is fixed. That bug blocked many from playing. A detailed patch summary confirms the fix landed on September 30, 2026. This is part of a bigger push for better compatibility and stability. The DEPLOY menu got a redesign. Players can now pick Official, Community, Infantry Mode, or Low-Level servers with clear options. Long server names show in full. Gamepad support is live on the selection screen. Navigation is smoother for everyone.
The Wardogs policy also states that participating in XP-farming servers can lead to a permanent ban, reflecting the developers' commitment to curbing exploit-driven progression and maintaining a fair in-game economy.
Season 02 is already on the horizon. The devs tease new map conditions, gear, and balance tweaks. But right now, update 0.1.2 sends a clear message. Wardogs is done being a cheater's playground. Abusers get reset. Admins get more power. The team is betting this hard reset will win back its core players. The PC shooter scene needed this. Wardogs just delivered.
