Evan Solberg studied informatics and graduated from the University of Washington, building a foundation in the relationship between people, information systems, software, and digital products. He began his career with a small web and software team in the Pacific Northwest, working across product support, website development, analytics, and client-facing technology, and later joined a SaaS product team where he gained practical experience with software evaluation, subscriptions, usability, and customer workflows.
He later moved into independent technology publishing and founded NerdsMagazine, where he directs editorial strategy and publishing standards while writing and editing technology coverage.
His editorial perspective focuses on practical usefulness: what a product solves, what it costs, what data it requires, what limitations matter, and whether the real-world benefit justifies the tradeoffs.
