Bulkhead just changed the rules for Wardogs. Players who abuse XP or cash exploits now face permanent bans. No more warnings. No more second chances.

Update 0.1.2 landed after players found new ways to farm cash and experience. Since launch, these exploits have spread fast. Bulkhead says anyone already caught using them-or trading for real money-has lost all cash and progression. The studio is blunt: "That leniency is now over. We have zero tolerance for economy abuse and players now risk being permanently banned without warning if caught abusing repeatable unintended exploits." The official patch notes confirm it. Repeat offenders can be banned for good, with no notice. The Windows Forum update report spells out the new policy.

In update 0.1.2, server-side validation for revive actions was moved entirely to the server, closing loopholes that previously allowed distance-based revive exploits.

The update brings technical changes to shut down loopholes. Revive actions now run fully on the server. That blocks long-distance revive exploits. Vehicle fly-through tricks are less rewarding. Destroying buildables now pays out based on how much you finish, not just a quick hit. Players dropping pallets into FOBs outside the hot zone will get less cash. This targets one of the main farming routes in logistics and construction. The official patch documentation confirms these changes.

But 0.1.2 isn't just about exploits. The patch fixes gameplay bugs. Throwables like grenades and C4 can't be used from inside closed vehicles anymore. The adaptive crosshair now hides when you aim down sights. Buildable crit spots won't keep showing up in the same place. The Havoc vehicle no longer takes too much damage from 20mm and 30mm cannons.

Server improvements are live too. The server browser's 'deploy' button now lets players pick between 'official,' 'community,' 'infantry mode,' and 'low-level' servers. Bulkhead calls this "the first step intended to help signpost players" to the right matches. Anonymous mode got a tweak. Server names are gone from loading screens and pause menus. Advanced filters are back in the official server list.

In the previous 0.11 update from September 14, 2026, Bulkhead had already implemented strict penalties for cash exploit abuse, including timed bans and full cash/XP resets. Creating content that teaches exploit methods was classified as advertising cheats and resulted in a permanent ban.

Admins get new tools. They can now schedule daily server restarts. The RCON panel has better lobby controls. Bulkhead also fixed the stubborn Wardogs WD-L020 crash. This bug hit some players after the latest Windows 11 update. The patch addresses the Windows 11 KB5124010 compatibility problem directly.

Update 0.1.2 is live. Servers will go down for maintenance at 2am PT / 5am ET / 10am BST / 11am CEST on Wednesday, September 30. Downtime should last about an hour. Bulkhead is already teasing Wardogs Season 2. New map conditions, gear, balance changes, and more are coming next week.

This is a hard reset for Wardogs. Bulkhead is betting that strict bans and progress wipes will restore trust in the game. The message is simple. Play fair or lose it all.
