Battlefield 6 patch lifts class skin locks, fixes major crashes
Bradley Bradshaw and Robert Floyd skins are about to break free. Starting September 30 at 08:00 UTC, Battlefield 6 will push update 1.4.3.5 to every current platform. Players can finally use these character skins with any NATO class. No more gadget restrictions. Full customization is here.
The 1.4.3.5 update is officially described by EA as a quality-of-life patch, focusing on targeted fixes for menus, HUD, social features, game modes, maps, AI, and overall stability.
PlayStation 5 owners will spot a clear visual change. Engineers have tweaked the thickness of optical sight frames for models like the SU-123, CCO, Ro-M, 2PRO, 3VZR, R4T, 1P86, 1P88, NFX, and SSDS. This fix tackles a long-running issue that hurt competitive play. EA called it out as a PS5-only upgrade.
Maps and menus get a cleanup too. On Wake Island, invisible walls near point E are gone. APHEI armor-piercing incendiary cannons can't damage the carrier in Carrier Strike mode anymore. The minimap now works while waiting to respawn. Coin buying is easier after canceling a purchase. Phantom Program XP booster icons are clearer.
In late September, independent reports highlighted a separate issue for PC players: the optional Windows 11 preview update KB5124010, released on September 22, was linked to frequent Battlefield 6 crashes. The most common workaround cited was uninstalling this Windows update, as Microsoft had not yet issued a dedicated fix for the game.
This patch sends a message. The Battlefield 6 team is not letting bugs or rough edges pile up. They are fixing headline problems and small annoyances. It's a clear push for better competition and smoother play. For a series often hit by launch issues, this is a strong step forward.
