Five Great Free Android Apps

the android logo with numerous app icons

With millions of different applications to decide on, finding the perfect Android apps for your specific needs can be quite daunting. You spend enough money every month for your phone plan, why pay for apps on top of that when there are some awesome free ones available. Below you will find a list of some of the best free Android apps that are currently available.

1. Any.Do

Any Do is a daily organizer that can help you keep up with a number of different things such as to-do lists or grocery lists. It also includes a one-of-a-kind feature known as Any Do moment, which allows you to look through a day’s tasks and decide which ones you want to do first.

2. Avast Mobile Security & Antivirus

Avast Mobile Security & Antivirus is a full security suite for the Android mobile operating system. This app comes with top of the line protection from malware and can deter thieves by allowing you to remotely track, lock, and send messages to a lost Android device. As if that wasn’t enough,  it also comes with browsing protection and both SMS and call blocking.

3. Seesmic

There are numerous different Twitter apps available, even one made by Twitter itself. However, the all-time favorite of many people is Seesmic. This app offers support for multiple accounts, a great homepage widget that shows the latest tweets all in a modern, professional design.

4. Juice Defender

As smart phones become more powerful, more strain is put on the battery. Juice Defender is a battery manager app that can help you get as much out of your battery as possible. It includes a task manager feature where you can find out which apps are hogging the battery power and disable them, and it can be set to toggle on and off battery hungry options such as 4G LTE and WiFi.

5. 1Weather

1Weather is one of the most popular and highly rated weather apps currently available. This application features a good-looking interface that is very easy to use and gives you the latest, up-to-date weather forecast. It also features a selection of widgets if you want to customize the look of the app.

These are only five of my favorite free Android apps, of course there are literally hundreds of other great ones available. Leave us a comment and let us know which ones are your favorites.
