Sponsored Content Policy
Learn how NerdsMagazine labels and reviews sponsored content, partner articles, paid promotions, commercial claims, links, and advertiser relationships.
Updated
This policy explains how NerdsMagazine distinguishes sponsored content from independent editorial work, which commercial formats may be considered, how paid material is labeled, what factual standards apply to commercial content, and what sponsors cannot purchase.
Commercial Content We May Consider
How Sponsored Content Is Labeled
- Sponsored
- Paid content published under a sponsorship arrangement.
- Partner Content
- Commercial material produced with an identified partner.
- Material that is primarily advertising rather than independent editorial coverage.
- Paid Promotion
- Promotional material published in exchange for payment or another material commercial benefit.
- Press Release
- Supplied company or promotional announcement material.
Editorial Independence
Sponsored content does not control unrelated independent NerdsMagazine coverage, review conclusions, independent ranking positions, corrections, or future critical coverage.
Paid visibility does not determine editorial ranking position.
Accuracy and Claims
Material factual claims in sponsored content should have a reasonable basis. Statistics and research claims should identify their source where relevant. Comparative claims should have a reasonable basis. Testimonials must not be fabricated or falsely attributed.
NerdsMagazine may reject unsupported guarantees, misleading security claims, fake testimonials, fabricated research or statistics, unsupported medical, legal, or financial claims, and deceptive investment promotions.
