Why VS Code lets settings files break JSON rules
VS Code's configuration files accept comments and trailing commas thanks to a custom JSON mode, but this flexibility quickly backfires when strict parsers get involved.
Code Editors 1 story
Code Editors is where Development Workflow Tools coverage narrows to configuration, interoperability, and expected behavior of this specific layer. Coverage uses source code editors, text editors for programming, syntax highlighting, and code completion editors to explain function, setup, support boundaries, and interactions with the rest of the platform. This keeps Code Editors narrower than Development Workflow Tools as a whole while giving readers enough context to make configuration or compatibility decisions and recognize when a problem-specific tag is more appropriate.
